Delaware: Yuletide at Winterthur
In Delaware, the name du Pont holds some serious weight, and that goes double when it comes to Christmas decorations — in fact, many of the best Christmas light displays in the state can be found in the du Pont mansions. A particularly striking example is Yuletide at Winterthur, which features a Christmas tree decorated with more than 60 varieties of dried flowers. The displays typically correspond with exhibitions related to the du Pont family. For instance, in 2023, an exhibit entitled, "Ann Lowe: American Courtier," features creations inspired by the influential couture gown designer.
