This small town in the western foothills of the Santa Clei de Cristo Mountains is located in the western U.S. state of New Mexico. It is bordered by a tributary of the Rio Grande, with beautiful scenery and chic environment. Novelist D· H. Lawrence, painter Georgia O'Coffey, lived here. Later, it became a gathering place for writers and painters. The magical Clay World (Adobe), an ancient Indian village in Taos Town, has been declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations.
